Description
The treatment of age-related ptosis is done through corrective surgery. To make these, Centrale Fillers distributes the specific accessory for small stitches: the White Rose (20 units/bag). It is a complete medical device providing absorbable tensor threads and combined needles.
White rose (20 units/bag) PDO 6D Cutting Cog is made of serrated monofilament sutures. The 360 6D notched structure allows interventions to elevate the tissues in reconstructive surgery, without risk of rejection.
It contains 20 tensor threads with needles. Each thread kit consists of:
- A needle protected by a cap;
- From a sponge;
- From a hub;
- A Polydioxanone (PDO) suture.
The device is sterilized with ethylene oxide before being packaged.
Component characteristics
White Rose sutures (20 units/bag) are made from Polydioxanone. It is a poly(p-dioxanone) polymer that makes up the absorbable synthetic monofilament. This product is tolerated by patients and resorbs after 220 days, the time for the imperfection to be corrected.
Polydioxanone gives the tensor thread a high tensile strength. The approximation of the tissues is thus maintained “solidly”.
White rose protocol for use
The White Rose packet (20 units/bag) should be used in cases where the procedure requires a large number of sutures. Indeed, once the bag is opened, the sterilization conditions are altered.
Before any intervention in minor reconstructive surgery, care must be taken to:
- Apply an anesthetic cream, 15 to 20 minutes earlier;
- Disinfect the tensor thread insertion area.
When using Cog models, the practitioner should avoid rubbing the sutures so as not to smooth the teeth of the suture. This notched structure is designed to hold the wire through the skin.
Procedures with White Rose tensioning threads must be performed in sterile environments (operating rooms). Only surgical professionals are authorized to use them.
