Description
Durolane – bioventus is an injectable solution based on hyaluronic acid in the form of a viscoelastic gel indicated in cases of osteoarthritis of mild to moderate intensity.
Osteoarthritis is a joint disease where cartilage, ligaments, bones, muscles and synovial fluid are altered.
Hyaluronic acid can help relieve a joint whose synovial fluid is of lower quality by replacing it in a way.
The joints most commonly affected are the knee, hip and those of the spine, but others can be affected such as the shoulder, ankle, elbow, finger, toes and wrists.
This gel is intended for intra-articular injection to relieve pain, improve mobility and absorb the shocks to which it is subjected.
Viscosupplementation consists of the injection of a liquid with viscoelastic properties in order to compensate for the loss of quality and quantity of synovial fluid, particularly in the case of osteoarthritis. The synovia functions like a cushion, preventing the ends of the bones from rubbing against each other.
Indication Durolane – bioventus
Durolane requires only one injection.
- Mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee, hip
- Mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the ankles, shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers and toes
3ml pre-filled glass syringe, with luer-lock tip, in blister packaging.

- Physiological sodium chloride solution, pH 7
